Mobile Deposit: Deposit Checks with Ease

You’ll love Mobile Deposit, a feature designed to bring check deposit convenience to your fingertips. Use your camera-equipped smartphone or tablet to deposit checks directly into your account.

Download our Mobile App from iTunes or Google Play. Mobile Deposit is available in your app and activated based on account criteria.

Easy Steps for Check Deposits:

  • Verify Account: Confirm the check is payable to a name linked to your account.
  • Endorse the Check: Sign the back and include “For Mobile Deposit Only” and your account number.
  • Access the App: Open the Campbell Mobile Banking App.
  • Start Deposit: Select “Deposit” followed by “Deposit Check.”
  • Choose Account: Pick the account you want to deposit into.
  • Enter Amount: Include the amount of the check.
  • Take a Pic: Capture clear images of the check’s front and back.
  • Confirm Deposit: Review and complete your deposit.
  • Store the Check: Keep the physical check in a safe place for a short period. See “Rules and Deposit Timing” for more details.

Rules and Deposit Timing

(All times mentioned are Eastern Standard Time.)

  • After successfully depositing a check, its status will be “pending” until it is reviewed.
  • If your check cannot be accepted, its status will change to “failed.” You may contact the credit union by calling 800-257-5354 or 856-486-3250.
  • If your check is processing, its status is changed temporarily to “Under Review.”
  • Our daily cutoff time for accepting Mobile Deposits is 2:00 pm Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Deposit items that we receive after 2:00 pm or on non-business days will be processed on the next business day (Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays).
  • If your check is accepted before our daily cutoff time of 2:00 pm, it will usually be deposited into your account between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm that day (the status of your deposit will change to “Accepted”).
  • When your check is deposited into your account, the first $225 of your deposit will be made available to you by 5:00 pm that day. The remainder will be placed on hold for up to 2 business days. Longer holds may apply in certain situations. (See Funds Availability Disclosure)
  • Once the status of your deposit changes to “accepted,” please safely destroy the paper check! You will be able to view a legal image of your check in Mobile Banking (under “deposits,” then “view deposit history”), and we will use the legal image for any further processing.

 

Most checks are eligible for Mobile Deposit. However, the following types of checks are not:

  • Checks payable to any person other than you.
  • Checks payable to you jointly with one or more other persons unless deposited into an account in the name of all payees.
  • Checks that have been previously negotiated (including checks that may have been returned), remotely created, Sight Drafts, or checks more than 6 months old (stale dated).
  • Checks drawn on a financial institution located outside the United States or not in United States currency.
  • Insurance Claim Checks, Money Orders (Postal and Money Gram), Traveler’s Checks, Credit Card Cash Advance Checks.
  • Checks over $5,000.

**Your account must be in good standing to use Mobile Deposit. The Mobile Deposit service may be revoked at any time without notice.
